*our anti-hazing policy can be found on our international webiste: www.phisigmasigma.org
Q: How long is the new member process?
A: Phi Sigma Sigma has an international rule that the new member process cannot be longer than 6 weeks.
Q: What does the new member process involve?
A: The objective of new member education is to develop good sisters. It should promote interest in Phi Sigma Sigma and be positive, informative and enjoyable. New member education should embody the principles of our ritual. It should also: help the new members become better acquainted with each other and the sisters, learn about life, the university, the chapter and self. Help the new members to learn about Phi Sigma Sigma, its organization, traditions and ideals. Involve the new members in the work and success of the chapter. Help the new members learn about group living and further develop leadership and responsibility.
Q: How much are dues and what are they used for?
A: New member dues are around $250 which includes inititaion fees and items that will be needed during the new member process, as well as local dues. Fall dues are a little more expensive because of international dues, but spring dues are reduced greatly. Payment plans can be worked out with the Bursar if payments can not be made in a lump sum. Local dues cover expenses for the chapter's social and philanthropic programs, recruitment, Inter Greek Council or Panhellenic dues, alumnae events, and local meetings or workshops such as regional conference and Founders' Day celebrations.
